We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to join our 3 Main Med-Surg team and support our mission of excellence in patient care, clinical quality, and team development.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) assists with the ongoing management and leadership of the 3 Main Medical Surgical Unit. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary team, the CNC coordinates patient care delivery, supports nursing staff, promotes a culture of safety, and helps ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

The CNC serves as a clinical resource and leader for the unit, facilitating effective communication, patient throughput, staffing coordination, and quality initiatives while maintaining a patient-centered focus.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-

  • Coordinate and supervise nursing care activities during assigned shifts.

  • Support daily operations, patient flow, staffing, and resource management for the Medical Surgical Unit.

  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff.

  • Promote adherence to evidence-based practice standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.

  • Collaborate with physicians, case management, therapy services, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Assist with employee engagement, onboarding, education, and competency development.

  • Monitor patient care quality indicators and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and patient safety.

  • Respond to patient, family, and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or an active Compact State RN license.

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Minimum of one year of acute care Registered Nurse experience.
