Is Olive Jobs Legitimate? Who We Are and How to Verify Us
TL;DR — Yes, Olive Jobs is legit. It's an AI-powered job-search platform for people looking for real career jobs in the United States, whether they are starting out or already in their career, built by Olive (olive.is) — a US AI company backed by Owl Ventures. Sign-up doesn't ask for a credit card, and your résumé is never sold to recruiters. Most of the confusion comes from unrelated companies that also use the name "Olive" — the rule of thumb: if it isn't at olive.jobs or olive.is, it isn't us.
If you searched "is olive jobs legit," you probably got a confusing mix of results about unrelated companies that have nothing to do with this platform. Skepticism is exactly the right instinct in a job search — so here's the straight answer, along with everything you need to verify it yourself.
The short answer
Olive Jobs (www.olive.jobs) is a real job-search platform. It tracks over a million live openings that employers publish themselves — most through a licensed feed of employer-published openings, the rest directly from employers' career sites — sweeps out ghost listings daily, and pairs every posting with AI tools that work for the candidate: honest fit evaluation, résumé tailoring scored against the job description, and out-loud interview practice with feedback. You can try the search without creating an account.
Who's behind it
Olive Jobs is built by Olive — legal name Olive Independent Study, Inc. — an American AI company founded by Jacob Justice, Drake Kelly, Ella McChesney, and Bill Nguyen, and backed by the education-focused venture fund Owl Ventures and the Georgia Tech Foundation, through GTF Ventures. Olive Jobs, the career platform you're reading about, was created inside Olive by co-founder Drake Kelly, and the same team runs it today.
What's the catch?
That's the right question to ask any job platform, because the usual catch is your data. So here's ours, plainly: we don't sell it. Your résumé stays private to your account, your contact information is never passed to recruiters, and you can delete your account and data at any time. The full details are in our privacy policy. And sign-up never asks for a credit card.
How to verify us (please do)
Don't take a company's own word for it — including ours. Here's how to check:
- Official domains. The product lives at www.olive.jobs and the parent company at olive.is. Real Olive emails and links come from those two domains only.
- The apps are in the official stores. The iPhone and Android apps are linked from /mobile-app, and the Chrome extension from /chrome-extension — all published by Olive.
- LinkedIn. Our company page is at linkedin.com/company/olivejobs.
- Talk to a human. Email [email protected] or use the contact form — a person answers.
- Getting hired never costs you money. Olive Jobs will never ask you to pay a fee to be considered for a job, deposit a check, or share banking details. Anyone doing that in Olive's name is a scammer wearing it — our job-scams guide shows the patterns to watch for.
Sharing a name with companies that aren't us
"Olive" is a common business name. Search results for it mix together several unrelated companies — in healthcare, restaurants, insurance, and staffing — alongside this platform, and none of them are affiliated with us in any way.
The simple rule: Olive Jobs lives at www.olive.jobs, and our parent company at olive.is. If a website, social account, review page, or recruiter isn't operating from one of those two domains, it's a different business that happens to share the name — whatever it's selling, hiring for, or promising has nothing to do with us. That includes employee reviews on ratings sites: if you find reviews for an "Olive," check which company they actually describe before reading them as ours.
Still not sure?
That's fine — caution is a skill we actively teach. Browse the guide library and data reports without an account, read more about us, or email [email protected] with any question about who we are and what we do with your data.
