Job Description
The Senior NetSuite Administrator / Developer is responsible for the administration, development, security, integration, and continuous improvement of the organization’s NetSuite ERP environment. This hands-on senior role partners with business users, support representatives, technology teams, vendors, and leadership to translate operational needs into secure, reliable, and maintainable ERP solutions. The position also provides advanced technical support, mentors support representatives, and helps ensure that NetSuite configurations, customizations, integrations, reporting, and controls support business objectives. Essential Functions:
- Administer and govern NetSuite users, roles, permissions, workflows, dashboards, records, forms, fields, and core configurations to support secure access, reliable operations, data integrity, and maintainable system design.
- Design, build, test, deploy, document, and support NetSuite customizations, SuiteScript solutions, workflows, reports, dashboards, templates, and automated notifications throughout their lifecycle.
- Develop and support integrations between NetSuite and other enterprise applications using web services, APIs, middleware, and file exchanges.
- Partner with departments to analyze business needs and processes, identify opportunities to reduce manual work, and translate approved requirements into practical, secure, and maintainable NetSuite solutions.
- Provide advanced technical support for complex NetSuite issues involving system configuration, reporting, workflows, integrations, access, and performance, including root-cause analysis, resolution, documentation, and escalation when needed.
- Mentor support representatives through technical guidance, structured troubleshooting practices, documentation, and knowledge transfer to improve issue resolution and reduce dependence on individual subject-matter experts.
- Support testing, deployments, documentation, training, change management, and post-implementation activities.
- Maintain security, internal controls, audit readiness, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable technology standards.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and directly related experience may be considered.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience administering, configuring, and supporting NetSuite ERP in a production environment.
- Three years of experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting NetSuite solutions using SuiteScript and related SuiteCloud technologies.
- Experience gathering requirements, supporting business processes, testing changes, documenting solutions, and supporting production systems.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot production problems, document solutions clearly, communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, provide effective customer service, organize competing priorities, and complete detailed work accurately.
- Ability to design secure, maintainable solutions that balance business needs, performance, data integrity, and internal controls.
- Ability to manage priorities, support production needs, meet deadlines, and work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience administering and configuring NetSuite, including roles and permissions, workflows, custom records and forms, saved searches, dashboards, reports, SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, and SuiteAnalytics.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting integrations using APIs, REST or SOAP web services, RESTlets, JavaScript, JSON, XML, SQL, middleware, and file-based import and export processes.
- Knowledge of testing, documentation, change management, data validation, reconciliation, and production support practices.
- Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: NetSuite Analytics Warehouse; Power BI or Power Platform; Azure integrations; identity management; or enterprise processes involving financials, procurement, fixed assets, inventory, payments, payroll, or operational systems.
- Experience inpublic sector, transportation, maritime, utilities, or other complex operating environments.
- Experience coordinating consultants, vendors, ERP implementations, module expansions, orbusiness process improvements.
Preferred Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include Oracle NetSuite certification, Microsoft Power BI or Power Platform certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or a comparable credential related to the position’s responsibilities.
