Full job description

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

Diamond Foundry is seeking a People Partner to support our Bay Area Diamond Foundry locations and our direct-to-consumer brand, VRAI.

The ideal candidate has supported both a shift-based and a corporate or customer-facing population and is comfortable moving between a production floor and a showroom in the same week. They are hands-on, practical, and credible with frontline managers. This is a role with room to grow, working closely with the VP of Human Resources on more complex matters.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers across diverse teams on daily people matters—including performance, attendance, and team dynamics—coaching them to conduct difficult conversations, resolve issues consistently, and document properly rather than handling matters on their behalf.
  • Support employee relations by conducting independent investigations and collaborating closely with the VP of HR on complex or sensitive matters.
  • Support multi-state accommodation and return-to-work processes in coordination with People Operations.
  • Drive compensation and leveling initiatives, including new hire offers, promotions, and the annual merit cycle.
  • Tailor and translate company-wide programs to effectively suit both shift-based manufacturing and retail environments, accounting for how different populations experience shared policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years in an HR or People Partner capacity, featuring hands-on employee relations experience (HR certification is a plus).
  • Proven experience supporting both a non-exempt, shift-based workforce and a corporate or customer-facing population.
  • Working knowledge of California employment law—particularly regarding leave, accommodation, and wage-and-hour requirements—with multi-state exposure preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of coaching managers, applying consistent standards across varying team cultures, and exercising sound judgment on when to act independently versus when to escalate.
  • Experience navigating and building out processes within an evolving, high-growth environment (desirable).

$110,000 - $145,000 a year

The position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and location. We will also consider higher-level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.

Diamond Foundry believes in supporting our employees from the workplace to their personal and home life. We provide eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. Perks include employee discounts to VRAI. Our benefits begin as early as your first day of employment. Medical and vision coverage are retroactive to your start date, while dental and voluntary benefits take effect once you’ve completed your enrollment.
