Summary
This is an OPEN CONTINOUS ANNOUNCEMENT, applications will be accepted until January 19, 2027 or until vacancies are filled. This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of Administration (OA), Office of the Chief Operations Officer, Mail and Logistics Management Office (MLMO). The Logistics Assistant (Mail/MVO) will be responsible for logistical support for the office and managing the delivery of mail across the EOP campus and the National Capital Region.
Duties
This is an OPEN CONTINOUS ANNOUNCEMENT, applications will be accepted until January 19, 2027 or until vacancies are filled. As a Logistics Assistant (Mail/MVO), GS-0303-7, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision: Provides customer service to internal and external customers regarding logistics and mail procedures Meters outgoing postal mail, performs mass mailings, and charges most economical postage Transports and delivers mail, express overnight packages, and bulk parcels within the National Capital Region Operates platform truck to pick up and deliver materials and equipment to various locations and work sites Collects unclassified materials for destruction from designated offices throughout the EOP complex Tracks and reports workload statistics for overall monthly Mail Center Reports Qualifications
ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. You may qualify at the GS-7 level, if you must meet the following minimum qualification requirements: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector that demonstrates the following: 1) providing administrative and logistical support involving mail, package, delivery, or transportation operations; 2) tracking and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing items; and 3) resolving routine delivery or service issues. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Qualified: Applicants possessing experience that meets the minimum qualifications of the position and demonstrate basic proficiency in most of the critical competencies, including all SPFs and appropriate QRFs as determined by the job analysis. Veterans: Qualified veterans who have a compensable service-connected disability of at least 10% are listed in the best-qualified category, except when the position being filled is scientific or professional at the GS-09 grade level, or higher.
