Assistant, Associate or Full Professor - Information Systems & Informatics

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Lucille and Jay Chazanoff School of Business of the College of Staten Island of the City University of New York invites applications for a faculty member in the Information Systems and Informatics Program . We seek candidates at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor , depending on qualifications and experience, with outstanding teaching skills and evidence of a potential or distinguished record of scholarship, as well as a productive research agenda and a commitment to serving the institution and its community. Primary responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate teaching and mentoring in Information Systems subjects, with further responsibilities including committee and department assignments such as administration, supervision, and other functions. Specializations of particular interest include Artificial Intelligence (including but not limited to Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI Agents, Trustworthy AI, AI Security, and Human-Centered AI), Cybersecurity, Data Science and Analytics, and Health Informatics. Candidates with expertise in Systems Analysis, Software Development, and Enterprise Systems will also be considered.

The College of Staten Island (CSI) is a City University of New York (CUNY) senior College organized around two academic divisions and three schools, with a total population approaching 12,000 students. The Chazanoff School of Business is accredited by AACSB and has approximately 1,900 majors, offering an AAS in Business; a BS in Accounting; a BS in Business with concentrations in Management, Marketing, Finance, and International Business; a BA and a BS in Economics; and a BS in Information Systems & Informatics in association with the Department of Computer Science. The School also offers an MS in Business Management with tracks in Strategic Management and Business Data Analytics, an MS in Accounting, an MS in Healthcare Management, and a Graduate Certificate in the Business Analytics of Large-Scale Data. QUALIFICATIONS

PhD degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. ABD applicants will be considered; however, their degree must be conferred prior to the first day of classes of fall 2027 in order to hold the position.

Preferred qualifications include an earned PhD or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other appropriate area, and a demonstrated commitment to research, publication, and teaching.

COMPENSATION

$94,017 - $114,091 (Assistant Professor)

$113,745 - $134,808 (Associate Professor)

$136,040 - $141,325 (Professor)
