About Closure

  • Closure helps law enforcement search evidence and solve crime. Public servants across the U.S. use Closure to expedite investigations into cold cases, homicides, gang conflicts, sexual assault, and other serious offenses. We’re live with police departments and prosecutors across the country, reducing evidence overload throughout the criminal justice system. Closure is an intentionally tight-knit team of ambitious ex-Palantir and ex-IDF engineers and operators. We operate with a high speed, high integrity, and high autonomy, backed by reputable investors including Y Combinator, CRV, Pathlight, and others. Read more about our work, here:

Role Description:

  • We’re looking for a gifted Founding Account Executive to work directly with the CEO, Head of Business Operations, and founding team to help spread Closure’s impact.

  • This is not a rest-and-vest or 9-to-5—we are a growing startup delivering incredible outcomes for law enforcement agencies across the U.S. Succeeding at this role will take hunger, elbow grease, and a white-glove approach to succeed.

  • Your work here matters to how AI is adopted by public safety agencies, and the stakes are quite high. Thoughtfulness and integrity are also critical to success. This role will require significant travel to conferences, customer onsites, and more.

  • Core Responsibilities: • Full-Cycle Sales • Own every stage of the cycle: outbound, discovery, demo, pilot, procurement, negotiation, and close, post-close touchpoints.

  • Co-lead pilots and POCs that convert frontline users into champions.

  • Manage CRM hygiene, deal documentation, and transparent communications.

  • Pipeline Generation • Generate your own pipeline through outbound, conferences, referrals, and relationships in the law enforcement community.

  • Build and maintain a trusted group of decision-makers across police departments, sheriffs' offices, prosecutors’ offices, and federal LEOs.

  • Identify and prioritize the agencies most likely to benefit from Closure.

  • Public Sector Navigation • Navigate the realities of agency buying: RFPs, sole-source justifications, cooperative purchasing vehicles, grant cycles, competing priorities, and security reviews.

  • GTM Foundation • Help define positioning, pricing, and sales motion as the company scales.

  • Bring the voice of the customer back to product and engineering—the roadmap will be shaped by what you hear in the field.

  • Represent Closure at conferences nationwide (IACP, major chiefs and sheriffs associations, and regional conferences

About You

  • Mission-Driven: You're excited to contribute to public safety and improving the effectiveness of U.S. law enforcement and prosecutors.
  • Owner Mentality: You take responsibility naturally, don't wait for leads to be handed to you, and feel uncomfortable when a deal is slipping or a follow-up is overdue.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: You thrive in early-stage environments where the playbook doesn't exist yet.
  • High-Execution: You generate your own pipeline, run a tight cycle, and close. You've hit or exceeded quota in complex B2B or B2G sales.
  • Strong Communicator: You can hold your own with a chief, a CIO, and a line detective in the same meeting—and write the follow-up email that moves the deal forward.
  • Low-Ego, High-Standards: You're happy to do the "unsexy" work—procurement paperwork, security questionnaires, Saturday follow-ups—if it moves the company forward.

Prior experience in law enforcement, federal agencies, or prosecutors' offices is a plus—as is experience selling into those buyers—but not required if you're exceptional. Location:

  • Preferred: NYC or SF Bay Area
  • But Hybrid or remote settings will be considered

Compensation & Benefits

  • Comp • Base Salary: $90-$150k, with adjustments based on location, experience, and success incentives

  • Equity: Meaningful ownership stake at founding-hire levels

  • Benefits: • We contribute 3% to your 401(k), regardless of your own contribution

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Health, Dental (Direct or Reimbursed)

  • Short- & Long-term Disability Insurance

  • Life Insurance

  • Discounted Gym & Class Membership

  • Criminal Justice: • Criminal Justice Ready: Given the sensitivity of our work, we support employees through FBI background checks / CJIS clearance process as needed
