Over the past 225 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.

The New York Post is seeking a Part-Time Reporter (20–24 hours per week) to join our Sunday team. We're looking for a journalist with strong writing skills, curiosity, and a sharp eye for what makes a good story — someone who can move quickly, spot news value, and deliver clean, compelling copy on a tight timeline.

You'll help contribute to one of the most widely read print editions in the country, supporting our Sunday coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover assigned stories and conduct interviews

  • Pitch interesting, relevant, and creative stories for our Sunday paper and Saturday web coverage

  • Rewrite and update existing stories as needed

  • Aggregate breaking news and trending topics from trusted sources

  • Write clean, engaging copy for both print and digital

  • Work collaboratively with editors and other reporters to develop strong story ideas

  • Stay on top of news developments and flag timely angles

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of reporting or newsroom experience preferred (internships count)

  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field

  • Strong writing and research skills

  • Ability to work on deadline and adapt quickly to breaking news

  • Comfortable covering a range of topics, from news and politics to entertainment

  • A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Passion for journalism and the fast-moving media world

Note: This position is eligible for remote work. The shift schedule is Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. EST.

Please note that this is an engagement facilitated through a third-party vendor. While the role supports The New York Post, employment and payroll will be managed by the vendor.
