Full job description

Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With ~100 million customers worldwide using TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to prosper, and we never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Every TurboTax return ends at Finish and File. It’s where a customer pays, chooses how they’ll get their refund or pay what they owe, signs their consents, and sends their return to the IRS and State agencies. For millions of customers a year, it’s the step that decides whether they finish what they started, and it’s one of the most emotional moments in the whole tax journey. It’s also the checkout for the entire TurboTax business. Every product we sell runs through it, including DIY, Expert Assist, Full Service, and Embedded Tax channel (ie. Credit Karma Tax) and is where our biggest bets come together:

  • Creating delightful experiences for both customers and Tax Experts that is fast and reliable, on the busiest days of the tax season, and that is compliant while building trust

  • Surfacing proprietary offerings to the right customers at the right moments, like Refund Advance, pay with Refund, early refund access and File Now Pay Later

We’re looking for a Senior Staff Product Manager to own Finish and File end-to-end. You’ll set the vision for a modern, reusable checkout platform, create the next generation of AI-powered, personalized capabilities, and partner with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Content, Tax Compliance, Legal, Fraud, Finance and product leaders across TurboTax, Credit Karma and Intuit’s money teams to deliver outcomes.

If you want to own the moment that matters most in a customer’s tax journey, and the checkout that every TurboTax product and the next generation of tax channels run through, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for Finish and File as the shared checkout across DIY, Expert Assist, Full Service and Embedded Tax

  • Build Finish and File as a modern, reusable platform, so new products and channels (including embedded experiences like Credit Karma Tax) can launch faster without rebuilding checkout from scratch

  • Create the best checkout experience for both customers and Tax Experts

  • Partner with Intuit’s money and lending teams to deliver Refund Advance, pay with Refund, early refund access and File Now Pay Later in a way that serves the customer and earns their trust

  • Lead AI-powered personalization and agentic experiences that prevent and resolve e-file rejections and help more customers cross the finish line with confidence

  • Own compliance and risk at checkout, including consents, identity verification, fraud prevention and e-file requirements, in close partnership with Tax Compliance, Legal and Fraud teams

  • Use experimentation, customer research and data to improve filing success, customer sentiment and revenue, and be clear about tradeoffs between them

  • Lead end-to-end execution with a globally distributed team across the US and India, and drive alignment and crisp decisions across many stakeholders

  • Communicate strategy, results and learnings clearly to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including owning complex, high-volume consumer experiences such as checkout, payments or transaction flows

  • A track record of owning a shared or platform surface used by multiple products or business units, and balancing competing priorities with clear, defensible decisions

  • Experience working within regulated or high-trust domains (fintech, tax, payments, lending, identity) where compliance, accuracy and customer trust are non-negotiable

  • A data-driven mindset: comfortable with experimentation, defining success metrics and making tradeoffs between customer and business outcomes

  • Strong technical fluency: you can go deep with Engineering on platform design, APIs, performance and reliability

  • Experience shipping AI-powered, ML-driven or personalized experiences is a strong plus

  • Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influence, including senior leaders and partners across time zones

  • Flexibility in working hours to collaborate with teams in the US and India
