About the job As a Field Application Engineer, you will be responsible for enabling customers to use Nordic technology in a variety of exciting applications. You will be a key technical resource for our internal and external teams.
Key responsibilities
-
Create and present Nordic Semiconductor’s value proposition
-
Understand the customer applications and use cases
-
Work with Regional Sales Managers, distributors, and representatives to design-in Nordic solutions at customers
-
Respond to technical inquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner
-
Technical expert in the Sales team
-
Developing and owning key technical relationships with customers
Qualification and skills
-
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
-
Minimum 4 years of embedded software development experience with an understanding of embedded hardware including digital and analog circuits
-
Experience with ARM microcontrollers
-
Minimum 2 years of successfully supporting customer product development
-
Experience working with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and cellular technologies

Experience working with software to interface IoT devices with cloud software services such as AWS and Azure
Personal Skills

Strong customer communication skills in English, written and spoken

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with minimal supervision

Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments

The annual base salary range for this role is ($111,000 - $210,000 USD). Exact salary is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience.
