Successful candidates bring Current High School Student and College Student. Preferred (not required): Advocacy, Outreach, Prevention Education, and Community Health.

Description of Duties:

This is a grant funded position. - Work closely AEP/PREP Project Staff to develop new advocacy, outreach, and prevention education materials for the PREP Initiative. - Attend training and seminars on community health, HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Disease, Teaching Skills and Evidence Based Programs. - Conduct recruitment for program (new members and community workshops). - Escort at risk teens to partnership clinics for HIV Counseling and Testing, Pregnancy Testing, medical services and STI testing. - Co-facilitate evidence based curriculum with staff. - Lead THEO Town Hall meeting/World Aids Day Event at SUNY Downstate Medical Center - Participate in STAR Community Advisory Board, BATES Youth Network, leadership group, and community boards. - Plan, Develop, Implement, and Monitor all social media outreach, including "The Chat".

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Current High School student or College student with an interest in Public Health, Counseling, Training or Education. Must be willing to conduct workshops in schools and community organizations.
