Full job description
Brief of the Role We are looking for a Marketing and Sales Activation Manager to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will take the go-to-market strategies of the nation’s leading crop protection, seed, and fertilizer manufacturers and translate them into actionable marketing and sales plans that drive measurable results across the AgVend network. You will serve as the day-to-day operational partner for these manufacturers, coordinating with their field sales organizations and aligning internal AgVend teams to execute flawlessly. You will work side by side with Account Executives to ensure every activation delivers bottom-line impact through greater sales, marketing efficiencies, and increased ROI. You will report to the Head of Network Activation. Your Background You have spent meaningful time on the manufacturer side of the ag input supply chain; you understand how manufacturers build go-to-market strategies, how their field sales teams are structured and incentivized, and how to turn HQ strategy into field-level execution. You have the credibility to walk into a room with a district sales manager or regional lead and be taken seriously. Specifically, you must have:
-
At least 6 years of experience in sales, account management, brand management, or customer success within the agriculture input supply chain, with direct exposure to manufacturer-side go-to-market planning and execution
-
Demonstrated experience coordinating with or working alongside manufacturer field sales teams; you understand how district managers, territory reps, and regional leads operate and how to align them around a shared activation goal
-
Strong project management skills with a track record of driving cross-functional execution across multiple stakeholders and teams
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex strategies into clear plans
Qualities We Seek Solutions-driven You relish a good challenge and work relentlessly to overcome hurdles to achieve the best possible outcome.
Curious You want to understand the business of our partners and find solutions to help them grow.
Team-oriented You seek help when needed, are open to constructive feedback, and have never uttered the words, “Well, that isn’t my job” in a sentence.
Excellent communicator You have strong verbal and written communication skills that enable you to influence key stakeholders and work across teams.
Humble You recognize that arrogance is toxic and that modesty is key to being a good teammate and business partner.
Adaptable You enjoy dynamic and fast-growing work environments. You believe no job is too small, and no idea too big.
Relationship focused You have experience in agribusiness and/or AgTech and have pre-existing relationships with crop input suppliers. What We Expect of You We do what we say we will do.
Partner Strategy Execution The nation’s largest and most innovative ag suppliers are turning to the AgVend Network to execute their go-to-market strategies. As a Marketing and Sales Activation Manager, you are the day-to-day operational partner for these suppliers. You will deeply understand their business objectives, align with the Account Executive on the overall strategy for the partnership, and translate that strategy into clear activation requirements that guide how AgVend teams execute.
Field Sales Coordination A significant part of what makes activations succeed is field-level alignment. You will work directly with manufacturer field sales organizations; interfacing with district managers, regional leads, and territory reps, to ensure ground-level buy-in and execution. You understand how field teams are motivated and how to make it easy for them to champion AgVend-powered initiatives within their accounts.
Network Activation Build activation plans in collaboration with Nexus Account Executives to deliver on the goals of the supplier. Coordinate across internal AgVend teams to clearly articulate the plan and value that it will bring to the AgVend network. Execute business reviews and strategy sessions using data-driven stories and articulate the value of a successful activation.
“Change your own oil” At our fast-growing company, you will wear multiple hats and need to be able to adapt to changing priorities. For this, you will need to enjoy a degree of ambiguity and be comfortable with your role evolving beyond this description. What you can expect of us We do what we say we will do.
People-first We seek to maximize your personal growth and long-term career success during your time with AgVend and beyond. We value our employees’ lives and aspirations outside of the company.
Ownership and autonomy You will have the power to realize opportunities, drive change, and delight customers.
Clear expectations Performance goals are set quarterly and are rooted in our company values and objectives.
Competitive salary and commission We know money isn’t everything, but you will be properly compensated for your work.
Company ownership You are fundamental to the success of AgVend, and thus, you will receive stock options from the company.
Travel We strongly believe that there is no replacement for a firm handshake, so you will be expected to meet with our partners on a regular basis. We will compensate for all travel expenses.
Health insurance We want you and your family happy and healthy, so we have industry-leading health coverage for all of our employees. Ready for your next challenge? Send us a note with your interests and background to [email protected] and we will be in touch!
