Data-Driven & Transparent: Work with a robust data model where every event is tracked, and automation is key. You’ll have all the tools and data to help you automate operations and analyse key risk trends.

Tooling: Ability to build your own tools and implement robust & efficient AI workflows.

Lean, Impactful Team: As part of a small, hands-on team, you’ll own your area, becoming an expert while working hand in hand with the Chief Risk Officer on critical projects.

Collaboration: You’ll be collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and senior leadership to optimise processes and build innovative risk solutions.

Autonomy: As our structure is relatively flat, you'll have direct access to the CRO and the founders, allowing you to shape the company's risk landscape. Why it’s challenging?

You will work closely with Defacto’s Chief Risk Officer, getting to work on the following topics:
-
Credit Analysis: Underwrite ad-hoc cases and integrate insights into our automated decision-making process.

Risk Roadmapping: Lead projects to optimise risk discrimination, balancing minimal losses with commercial growth.

Product Development: Collaborate on structuring new financial products.
-
Collections: Drive operational excellence in scaling the collections department with a hybrid approach of automation and human input.

Stakeholder Management: Represent Defacto in meetings with investors, auditors, regulators, customers and external partners. Requirements:

3-5 years in the financial sector or data analysis.

Experience in fintech, financial institutions, or consulting.

SQL expertise is a plus, but proficiency with data sets is essential. What you’ll achieve in 6 months:

Own daily risk monitoring and internal control processes.

Successfully launch a risk project with data engineers.
-
Contribute to operational excellence and recovery performance improvements.

Build relationships with external stakeholders (investors, auditors, regulators).

Master our operational tools.

Full autonomy in credit risk decisions.
