Human Resources Coordinator

Description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Administrative support for the Human Resources Department which includes maintaining personnel files, I-9 authorizations, benefit enrollment follow-up and new hire onboarding.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons

  • Verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files.

  • Send new hire request forms to IT

  • Assists with the preparation and distribution of new policies, performance views and other company initiatives

  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of HR.

  • Makes photocopies; mail correspondence, scan and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.

  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested

  • Prepares new-employee files. Files documents into appropriate employee files.

  • Assist with department invoices

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Communication, or related field preferred

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources or Administrative role

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures

  • Managing multiple projects

  • Create forms to streamline workflows and procedures

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Able to facilitate training and new hire orientations

  • ***Able to lift 10-15 pounds

Starting Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
