Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville is seeking a Testing & Accessibility Services Coordinator to support student success by coordinating testing services and accessibility resources.

The Testing & Accessibility Services Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Testing Center and Accessibility Services. Reporting to the Director of Accessibility Services, the position coordinates, administers, and proctors accommodated and approved make-up examinations; provides operational support for the Accommodate system; supervises testing proctors and student employees; and assists faculty and students with testing and accommodation processes to ensure equitable access to educational opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and participate in daily Testing Center operations, including administering and proctoring accommodated and approved make-up examinations.

  • Schedule, administer, and proctor examinations while ensuring exam security and approved accommodations..

  • Serve as the primary operational support person for Accommodate, assisting students and faculty with scheduling, notifications, and general system use while referring complex accommodation or compliance matters to the Director of Accessibility Services.

  • Coordinate testing logistics with faculty, students, and campus partners to ensure secure and efficient testing operations.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and work alongside testing proctors and student employees to support daily Testing Center operations.

  • Maintain testing records, documentation, and security procedures in accordance with institutional policies.

  • Assist with Accessibility Services operations, including appointment scheduling, student communications, and general office support.

  • Collect and maintain testing and service statistics and assist with assessment and reporting activities.

  • Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to support testing and accessibility services.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of Accessibility Services and Libraries & Learning Resources.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Disability Studies, Counseling, Education, Higher Education Administration, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in higher education, student support services, accessibility services, testing services, libraries, advising, or another student-facing environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, faculty, and campus partners using a variety of methods (e.g., in-person, written, and digital).

  • Demonstrated ability to provide student-centered service in a respectful and supportive manner.

  • Experience maintaining confidential records and handling sensitive information.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.

  • Ability to learn and utilize student information and accommodation management systems.

  • Ability to collaborate with campus partners across functional areas.

  • Experience supervising, training, or mentoring student employees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in accessibility services, testing centers, academic libraries, advising, or other student support environments in higher education.

  • Experience coordinating accommodated testing or examination services.

  • Familiarity with accessibility practices in higher education, including accommodation management systems (e.g., Accommodate) and testing management processes.

  • Experience supporting assistive technology, testing technologies, learning technologies, or helping students access and use technology resources.

  • Experience using student information systems and higher education technologies.
