A continuous improvement lead for the Quality Management System manages, monitors, and improves organizational processes as required by the quality certifications held by the facility. This includes, but is not limited to ISO9001:2015, the Association of American Railroads (AAR), American Bureau of Shipping.

Education / Training:

•Skill Level – 0-2 years of experience auditing and reporting quality or business related systems, or BS/BA or Technical Degree

•Thorough understanding of all facility Certification programs and their application

(ISO9001:2015, Association of American Railroads (AAR), American Bureau of Shipping)

Job Title:

CI Lead I - Quality ISO Coordinator

Key Job Elements:

•Manage and assign internal Layered Audit Programs and audit plans

•Manage and complete scheduled ISO Internal Audits in a timely manner for all certifications

•Facilitate external auditors, audits, and perform the lead auditee role representing the company

•Maintain facility metrics: Annual, Monthly performance reporting, PQVC and other metric boards

•Maintain thorough records and tracking of key performance indicators

•Analyze multiple sources of data, maintaining Trend charts, Paretos, and other analysis tools

(examples include: QPPM, DPU, Scrap, 5S)

•Prepare formal reports, summaries, and present conclusions and recommendations to management

•Manage Document Control System (including Work Instructions, Job Aids, and Forms Work)

•Monitor and Facilitate formal corrective action process and performance for both external and internal defects and process failures

•Coordinate and control CI Card and OFI programs: ensure closures in a timely manner

•Assist in Customer Complaint investigations and analysis

•Assist in RMA process and 3rd Party contract work for quality initiatives

•Lead presenter of Quality Orientation for new employees

•Lead and participate in GSA activities as assigned

•Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, 5S and housekeeping standards at all times

•Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

•Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job without assistance

•Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

•Prefer Minimum 2-5 years of experience in auditing and reporting quality or business related systems

•Seeking experience working in a production environment with machining and assembly

•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

•Excellent computer skills: Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, SharePoint

•Able to learn and utilize all aspects of Customer and Internal Software Programs; including but not limited to: Supplier Connect, LN, QDAS, IPREP, Coupa, PRS ETQ,

•Customer focused communication and professionalism

•Knowledge and Understanding of GD&T, Blue Prints, Specifications, Gauging and Measurements

•Effective cross functional coordination and facilitation

•Ability to work “hands-on” and walk across the facility multiple times each day as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work “hands-on”, and walk across the facility multiple times each day as needed.

  • Frequent need to physically move material. Must be able to team lift up to 35 lbs.; must be able to push and pull up to 55 lbs.
