Full job description

Serves as a strategic leader responsible for managing complex wastewater treatment planning, design, and construction projects while leading client relationships across Western New York and developing a high-performing team to support future growth. This role combines project delivery excellence, business development, client account management, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Delivery

  • Lead wastewater conveyance and treatment and water distribution and treatment planning,

  • design, and construction projects.

  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client expectations.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

  • Provide executive-level project reporting and risk management.

Western New York Client Service Leadership

  • Serve as Client Service Lead for key municipal clients.

  • Build trusted relationships with utilities, municipalities, and regulators.

  • Develop strategic account plans and identify future opportunities.

  • Represent the firm at industry events and stakeholder meetings.

Business Development & Growth

  • Lead proposals, pursuits, and interviews.

  • Develop market growth strategies and maintain project pipeline.

  • Support annual sales, revenue, and profitability objectives.

Group Leadership & Staff Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain engineering professionals.

  • Develop succession plans and future leaders.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and career development planning.

  • Promote a collaborative, high-performing culture.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • 15+ years of municipal wastewater consulting experience.

  • Demonstrated project management, client service, and staff leadership experience.
