Mental Health Professional II / Team Lead - ACT (Orangeburg)

This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center, 2319 St. Matthews Road NE, Orangeburg, SC 29118.

As the Mental Health Professional II, you will serve as a front-line supervisor on the Assertive Community Treatment Team. Provides clinical leadership and oversight to the ACT team to include but not limited to facilitating clinical supervision meetings, treatment team meetings, coordinating training for team and completing employee evaluations. Provide oversight and supervision for Two (2) MHP, One (1) Client Advocate, One (1) IPS, One (1) Clinical Support Staff, One (1) RN. total of six 6) staff and work closely with a provider.

Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional II:• Oversee the administrative operations of the team.

• Provide clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the delivery of best and ethical practices.

• Pursue professional development through collegial consultation, continuing education and licensure

• Provide services are documented in accordance with OMH/QA requirements.

• Ensure the program operates like a hospital without walls in the community and meets fidelity requirements.

• Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.

• Ability to organize and manage time.

• A high degree of independence, self-motivation will be expected.

• A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

• Ability to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle.

• Requires flexible schedule.

• Position is considered essential and may be called back during crisis/disaster emergencies.

• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

• Ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.

• Knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, and individual, family and group psychotherapy.

• Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families and representatives of other professional disciplines.

• Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.
