Function of Position:

This position reports to the Manager of Campus Events. The Part-time Campus Events Office and Weekend Assistant supports daily operations of the Campus Events Office and/or weekend event supervision. The Part-time Campus Events Assistant is expected to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks as assigned by the Director, Manager, and Coordinator II.

This is a part-time, temporary position September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Physical event support (minor tasks)

  • Staff reception area of office: Phone support, managing key and equipment sign-out, filing, Astra input

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the Manager, Director, and Coordinator II

Job Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service.

  • Self-motivated learner, committed to working in a team environment

  • Reliable transportation to attend events at Downtown MCC campus

  • Ability to lift 15 pounds

  • Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently

Additional Information:

Salary: $18/hour

Schedule: 15 hours/week
