The Senior Project Manager position has significant career growth potential for the right person. A working knowledge and familiarity of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) is critical to this position and possession of a LSP license (or ability to achieve the license within 1-2 years) is required. The ideal candidate is a technical leader and business developer who will work on a variety of site investigation and remediation projects in New England.
Key Responsibilities
-
Support existing MCP projects and other Environmental Services business sectors across Stantec, including collaboration with offices throughout New England.

Strong commitment to safety and ensure the implementation of Stantec Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) Policies in the execution of all work.

Provide collaborative leadership and project management on a wide variety of environmental site clean-up, planning and permitting projects for energy, government, and private sector clients throughout New England.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships with power, industrial, commercial, and government clients.

Support, train, develop, mentor, and retain staff as we grow our client base and workload.

Assist in the growth of Environmental Services, a crossed service sector in New England.

Innovate and enhance the business's capabilities, geographic footprint and integrated approach.
Capabilities and Credentials
-
Experience with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan is required and LSP license or the ability to obtain the LSP license within 1-2 years of starting at Stantec.

Strong understanding of environmental remediation practices and regulatory frameworks throughout New England is a plus.

Have excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.

Be conscientious, detail-oriented, and disciplined.

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER/up-to-date refreshers are mandatory.

Be proficient in commonly used software (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.).

Pre-employment physical is required.
-
Good driving record and valid driver's license are required.

Background check as well as drug and alcohol screening.

Willing and able to travel to and from neighboring office occasionally is a plus.

Ability to sell professional services while effectively managing multiple projects and staff is required.
Education and Experience
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science or Engineering is required.

Master’s degree is desired but not required

Relative environmental consulting experience in MA and New England for minimum 10 years.

Pay Range:
-
Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, ME, NY, VA Areas-$132,400.00 - $198,600.00 Annually

Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA, VA Areas-$156,200.00 - $234,300.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
