Full job description

Description

A growing construction and infrastructure services organization is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex field-based projects from planning through completion. This role will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders, support field operations, and drive successful project outcomes in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall project leadership from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.

  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to establish project requirements and execution strategies.

  • Manage project communications, documentation, reporting, and correspondence throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support field operations by resolving project challenges, monitoring progress, and promoting quality and safety standards.

  • Prepare and negotiate scope modifications, project adjustments, and change management documentation as needed.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost forecasts to support efficient execution.

  • Coordinate procurement activities, subcontractor performance, equipment utilization, and workforce planning.

  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and dependable project delivery.

  • Monitor project budgets, productivity, and overall performance to achieve operational and financial objectives.

  • Partner with leadership and field teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and project success.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or related project-based environments.

  • Demonstrated experience leading field personnel, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams.

  • Knowledge of project scheduling, contract administration, budgeting, and construction operations.

  • Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience with publicly funded projects, infrastructure improvements, industrial facilities, site development, utilities, or similar construction projects is a plus.

  • Background in estimating, change management, procurement, or contract administration is preferred.
