Sunnyview Rehab Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join our team as a Part-Time Speech and Language Pathologist! This individual is needed for 20 weekly hours.

What you will do:

  • As a Speech and Language Pathologist you are responsible for direct patient care. Integrate elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and interventions in a manner designed to maximize patient’s functional outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.
  • Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).
  • Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.
  • Complete all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.
  • Participate in initiatives that may include brainstorming or other activities to assist in improving quality or care, productivity, policies and standards.

What you will need:

  • Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree
  • Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration
  • Must have completed Clinical Fellowship year
  • Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association

Pay Range :$42.89 - $55.52 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.”
