Full job description

Overview

Working at Atlassian Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.

Responsibilities

Your Future Org Atlassian’s Intern program combines hands-on technical training, professional growth opportunities, dedicated mentorship, and strong social connections. This holistic approach empowers students to hit the ground running and sets them up for a successful and impactful career at Atlassian! This position is not eligible for F1 and J1 students. It is not available for any work sponsorship. Our paid internship program runs for 12 weeks between May/June 2027 - August/September 2027. Your Future Team The DAM & Taxonomy program sits within Atlassian's Go-to-Market Operations org and owns the systems, structure, and standards behind our Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. We make it fast and reliable for marketing teams across the company to find, trust, and reuse the right creative assets — through clean metadata, a well-designed taxonomy, and self-serve onboarding. As a DAM Operations Intern, you'll take on a focused, well-scoped body of metadata and asset-hygiene work that directly improves the search and reuse experience for the whole marketing organization, while learning how taxonomy operates within the DAM and its wider implications across the business. Responsibilities As a DAM Operations Intern, you'll own a hands-on operations project with clear, measurable deliverables. You'll have the chance to:

  • Audit metadata across key asset sets in the DAM — reviewing tags and metadata, flagging gaps and inconsistencies, and updating the tagging-agent documentation so standards stay current.

  • Build a repeatable de-duplication process for identifying, flagging for removal, and managing duplicate assets in the DAM — reducing storage and the confusion that comes from multiple versions of the same thing.

  • Create onboarding materials — reusable how-to guides and Loom walkthroughs, including a "DAM 101" set covering basic functionality — that support self-serve onboarding for new DAM users.

  • Learn how taxonomy functions inside the DAM and its downstream implications for marketing teams, captured in a short one-page explainer.

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data, tags, spreadsheets, and large sets of files

  • Be currently enrolled in a Masters's degree program (e.g., information/library science, data/analytics, marketing operations, communications, or a related field) and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by June 2028

  • You are curious and passionate about your work, with an interest in making complex processes simple and self-serve.

  • Be able to commit to a full-time role (40hrs / week)

  • Please note: At this time, we are only open to entry-level candidates with less than a year of professional experience (this does not include internships/co-ops)
