Full job description
At Coram AI, we’re reimagining video security for the modern world. Our cloud-native platform uses computer vision and AI to help businesses stay safe, make smarter decisions, and move faster; from real-time alerts to seamless clip sharing and multi-site visibility.
You’ll be joining an ambitious, fast-moving team that values clarity, craftsmanship, and impact. Every person here has a voice, ships meaningful work, and helps shape how AI can make the world safer and more connected.
The Role: We're hiring a Head of Video to own every video Coram makes. Our YouTube channel already posts every week, and we're starting to hear about our videos on sales calls. You'll raise the production quality of each one and get it in front of security and IT leaders, so Coram becomes the media company for physical security.
This isn't an on-camera role. You'll report to the VP of Marketing and work remotely, with at least 2 hours a day of overlap with Pacific time.
Responsibilities:
-
Own every Coram video from brief to publish, and set the bar for story, pacing, b-roll, graphics and sound
-
Direct how we film our founders and experts, and edit the footage into videos people finish
-
Publish every week without the quality slipping
-
Manage our video editor and a bench of freelancers
-
Cut long-form videos into Shorts, Reels, TikToks and LinkedIn clips, edited for each platform
-
Plan where each video runs and how it spreads, with our Head of Content and SEO
-
Own titles, thumbnails and hooks with our designers, and test what works
-
Use AI tools to speed up production
Skills and Qualifications:
-
A portfolio that shows your taste and range, and your role on each piece
-
7+ years making video, including 2+ years owning the creative for a brand, channel or show
-
Can cut the most important pieces yourself
-
Have directed editors or freelancers, or managed a small team
-
Able to make a technical product clear to a non-technical viewer
-
Published weekly or faster for six months or more
-
Grown an audience on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok; packaging and testing experience is a plus
-
Fluent in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or After Effects, and a daily user of AI tools
-
Clear written and spoken English
What We Offer:
-
Competitive compensation package
-
Early-stage equity in a rapidly growing company
-
Flexible paid time off and 10 paid holidays
-
For US-based hires: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and base life insurance, plus a 401(k) with both Traditional and Roth options
-
Referral bonuses
-
Regular team off-sites
-
The latest Apple products and unlimited tech stack (Claude Cowork, Perplexity Computer, Nooks, Clay, Instantly, etc.)
We're on a mission to transform a $50B+ legacy industry by bringing the power of cutting-edge multimodal LLMs and computer vision to real-world security and operations. From firearm detection to intelligent access control, our AI-native platform turns every camera and sensor into a smart system that enhances safety, efficiency, and awareness.
