Full job description

Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Flux Core Welders for projects located in or around West Jordan, UT . This is a night shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience plus $120/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite. Job Scope:

Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies
Weld light and heavy structural steel in a fabrication shop environment
Complete structural steel prefabrication for data center projects
Perform FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) in accordance with project specifications
Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural prints, and weld symbols
Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by project needs

Requirements:

Previous structural steel welding experience required
Strong FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) experience
Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols
Experience working with heavy structural steel and fabricated assemblies preferred
Experience working from WPS requirements
AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications preferred
Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
Ability to meet welding quality and production standards
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment
