  • Monitor materials and equipment delivered to the project site and verify that installed materials are consistent with approved project documents.

  • Maintain accurate daily inspection reports, including construction activities, labor and equipment, quantities installed, testing activities, site conditions, photographs, and significant project developments.

  • Measure and document quantities of completed work and assist with review and verification of contractor payment applications and installed quantities.

  • Document field changes and assist with maintaining construction records and record drawing information.

  • Identify potential nonconforming work, conflicts, or constructability concerns and promptly communicate observations to the Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, or Project Manager.

  • Observe contractor compliance with project-specific environmental, safety, access, and site requirements while maintaining appropriate roles and responsibilities related to contractor means and methods.

  • Participate in progress meetings, field coordination meetings, inspections, startup activities, substantial completion inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.

  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

  • Be able and willing to work day or night shifts and flexible schedules, including weekends, when required to support project construction activities.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience in construction inspection, construction administration, utility construction, pipeline construction, or a related field.
