Job Description

SUMMARY Insight Global is looking for a Strategic Buyer who will be responsible for purchasing materials and services, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, and identifying opportunities to reduce costs. This person will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and the Global Procurement team to make sure the business has reliable suppliers at competitive prices.

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and address performance or delivery issues.
  • Run sourcing activities such as RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Analyze company spending to find cost-saving opportunities.
  • Research the market to identify new vendors and sourcing options.
  • Track supplier performance using KPIs such as cost, quality, delivery, and service..
  • Partner with internal operations and product teams on purchasing needs.
  • Manage supplier contracts, including renewals and performance tracking.
  • Use ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa. Work with the Global Procurement team to find cost savings for the U.S. business.

Skills and Requirements

MUST HAVES

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience within purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a similar function.
  • Previous experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using an ERP, purchasing, or procurement system.
  • Ability to analyze purchasing data and identify opportunities for savings or process improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, or similar operating environment is preferred.
