Job Description
This role oversees a shift of technical broadcast operations supporting linear and streaming content distribution in a 24/7 environment. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining on-air reliability, monitoring transmission paths, coordinating live event execution, leading a team of technical operators, and serving as the central point of contact during operational incidents. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting broadcast issues, managing network operations center activities, coordinating with programming, engineering, and scheduling teams, creating operational procedures, developing transmission plans for live events, and driving real-time decision-making to ensure seamless content delivery.
Skills and Requirements
3+ years of experience in an on-air broadcast operations environment. Strong understanding of television production workflows, broadcast operations, and technical production requirements for live content. Experience troubleshooting technical issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Proven leadership skills with the ability to prioritize work, coordinate teams, and adapt to changing situations. Strong computer, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills. Experience supporting or executing live broadcast events. Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed in a 24/7 operation. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience leading the execution of live television broadcasts and special events. Prior experience supervising, coaching, or developing operations staff. Deep knowledge of digital broadcast systems, production technologies, standards, and workflows. Experience with cloud-based automation, real-time systems, digital video/audio technologies, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Experience with workforce scheduling, staffing coordination, or off-hours personnel management
