About the Role:

The Event Assistant helps keep Concordia Language Villages programs running smoothly by receiving, organizing, recording, and delivering food, mail, retail items, equipment, and other supplies from the Distribution Center to Language Village sites and programs.

This is a part-time role, hours are variable based on organizational needs

What You'll Do:

  • Receive food, mail, retail items, equipment, and other supplies, ensuring items arrive in acceptable condition and are stored in the proper location.

  • Pick, record, and deliver items for events and programming

  • Operate company vehicles for transporting supplies

  • Enter invoices and deliveries into database

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

What We're Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and ready to contribute wherever needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable with hands-on work, can manage tasks independently while working well with others, and takes pride in providing reliable service to support the programs and people of Concordia Language Villages.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Availability to work a varied schedule according to organizational needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current driver’s license and insurable driving record.

  • Experience in driving van or light truck.

Skills and Abilities:

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Ability to read and write.

  • Good math skills.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Good customer service skills

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds 100 times and 100 pounds 15 times daily.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

  • Must be able to stand, kneel, and stoop sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.

Concordia College is proud to offer a competitive total compensation package:

  • Eligibility for MN Paid Family and Medical Leave

  • Eligibility for MN Earned Sick and Safe Time

  • Salary – 16.00 - 16.50 USD Hourly Wage

The final salary will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, skills, certifications, and alignment with the position's requirements. Other considerations may include internal equity and market conditions.
