Full job description

Location: Boise, ID (Onsite)

We are seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to support automation and facility control systems for advanced manufacturing and semiconductor facilities. Based in Boise, you'll work with multidisciplinary teams delivering process control, instrumentation, and safety system solutions for complex industrial projects while continuing to grow your technical expertise.

What You'll Do

  • Design instrumentation, control, and automation systems for industrial facilities.

  • Prepare P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and related design documentation.

  • Perform instrument and control valve sizing and develop equipment data sheets.

  • Develop control narratives and sequences of operation.

  • Review vendor submittals and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Support construction, startup, commissioning, and client technical discussions.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

  • 4+ years of instrumentation and controls experience.

  • Working knowledge of PLC- and SCADA-based control systems, instrumentation, and process controls (experience with Siemens, Omron, or DeviceNet networks preferred).

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering (PE) certification.

  • Familiarity with NFPA 70, UL508A, and related industry standards.

  • Experience supporting semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or similar facilities.

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.

  • Experience with facility monitoring, toxic gas monitoring, fire alarm, or SCADA systems preferred.

Additional Details

  • Preference will be given to local candidates near Boise, ID.
