Digital Transformation Project Manager / Business Analyst

Remote (Must be within the US)

Eastern / Central Preferred due to working with Team on the East Coast

Quarterly Travel Possible to NJ/PA

6+ Month Contract

Target Pay: 70-75/hr W2

Our client is seeking experienced Project Managers with strong Business Analysis skills to support a large-scale digital transformation program within a leading global pharmaceutical organization.

This role is ideal for professionals who have led technology and process transformation initiatives in pharmaceutical R&D environments and can work directly with scientific, operational, and technology teams to deliver business-critical projects. This is not a traditional IT Project Manager role .

What You'll Do

  • Lead digital transformation and technology implementation projects within pharmaceutical R&D and scientific operations

  • Partner with business, scientific, and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and improve processes

  • Manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and executive reporting

  • Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and future-state workflow design

  • Support implementation, testing, change adoption, and operational readiness activities

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Project Management and/or Business Analysis experience

  • Experience leading digital transformation, technology implementation, or process improvement initiatives within pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical R&D environments, including exposure to CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls), scientific development, laboratory operations, or regulatory processes

  • Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, process mapping, and translating business needs into technology solutions

  • Experience working within regulated environments (GxP, quality, compliance, validated systems)

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills

Preferred Experience

  • Laboratory digitization or scientific technology initiatives

  • LIMS, ELN, MES, laboratory automation, or scientific data platforms

  • Cell & Gene Therapy, Protein Therapeutics, or related scientific domains

  • PMP, CBAP, Agile, or similar certifications

  • Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Visio, or Power BI

What We Are Looking For

This is not a traditional IT Project Manager role . Candidates should understand how technology supports pharmaceutical research, development, laboratory operations, and regulatory processes. Experience partnering with scientists, researchers, laboratory teams, or pharmaceutical operations groups is highly preferred.
