Student Event Associate

include coordinating event logistics, managing communications, assisting with setup and teardown, maintaining inventory, and ensuring event spaces are prepared. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Job Responsibilities:Event Outreach:Direct emails to the appropriate individual and respond to emails within 48 hours.Partner with stakeholders to coordinate meetings and review event proposals.Event Support:Input event details into the Momentus system.Provide day-of event support across four campus locations, including coordinating real-time changes, delivering AV assistance, and offering responsive customer service and problem-solving to both clients and stakeholders.Walk through event spaces before and after events and coordinate with the Event Organizer. Adjust changes and inform necessary parties. Assist with event setup flips.Support the Coordinator of Event Services with event details.Pull inventory and create event-specific setups. Maintain inventory lists and research new supplies. Maintain inventory for AV and event equipment. Order, prepare, and distribute materials. Document damages or missing items.Manage lights, AV, and door locks.Assist with interviews for Event Staff and plan training for new student staff.Maintain the UT Box for Event Service Area.Update/create web content for events.Compile assessment feedback for events and conferences.University Outreach:Schedule benchmarking meetings with other universities. Create proposals based on benchmarking.Identify local businesses and artists for events.Requirements:Complete 24 semester hours before employment.Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above and good disciplinary standing.Be a regularly enrolled student at UT Austin.No other assistantship or employment during the appointment, unless approved (max 5 hours/week on-campus).Limit course load to 16 credit hours during long sessions and 12 hours during summer.Must be a regularly enrolled student as defined by the Quantity of Work Rule in the General Information catalogue at the University of Texas at Austin.Compensation:$13.00 / hourWorking Conditions:Tasks involve climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 20 pounds. You will be trained in and expected to use safe lifting and transport techniques.Standard Uniform:Light grey or dark grey UHD-approved poloButton up or zip up sweaters may be worn as long as the polo is visible. Hoodies may not be worn on the floor. Long-sleeve shirts can be worn under the polo as long as it is all black.Jeans, including Dickie-style, cargo pants, casual or dress pants. The following are not permitted: Leggings, yoga pants, athletic wear, sweatpants.
