Full job description
🙋♀️ what’s the job? Tocco is building the infrastructure for the next generation of materials — a platform where breakthrough alternatives meet real adoption, and where circularity, climate logic, and industrial innovation finally align. We're live. We're scaling. And now, we’re looking for a capital-savvy operator to help us tap into the underused levers of non-dilutive capital — from strategic partnerships and grants to ecosystem funding across Asia and Europe. You won’t be chasing longshots or filling forms for vanity’s sake. You’ll work like an investor: filtering hard, moving fast, and helping us go deep where the ROI is real — in circularity, scope 3, manufacturing, deeptech, and the future of industrial ecosystems. 🌍 What You’ll Do
-
Scout and track high-potential grants & capital programmes across France, Singapore, Vietnam, China, and the EU
-
Evaluate strategic fit based on timeline, effort vs outcome, ecosystem alignment, and funding size
-
Coordinate lean application sprints with the team: you’ll help structure drafts, assemble materials, and hit deadlines
-
Support lightweight decks, one-pagers, and grant documentation — with help from AI tools and Notion/Figma templates
-
Map and maintain partner landscape intelligence: who funds what, where, when — and what drives decision-making
-
Draft and refine clear, structured writing: from form inputs to program summaries and executive intros
-
Keep our pipeline clean and sharp: maintain clarity around submissions, notes, follow-ups, and ROI signals 🧰 tools you’ll use often What you’ll use regularly — and what we hope you’re great at. ✅ must-have skills ⚠️ You must have:
-
You’re fluent in English, clear in your writing, and structured in your thinking
-
You’ve worked on grant applications, accelerators, non-dilutive finance, or public-private programmes before (or want to learn fast)
-
You can juggle research, structuring, and execution without overcomplicating the process
-
You’re sharp on ROI — not just activity for activity’s sake
-
You enjoy figuring out who matters in a complex ecosystem — and how to engage them
-
You move fast, iterate fast, and don’t need hand-holding to get started
-
You’re curious about materials, climate, innovation, or industrial transition ⭐️ Bonus points for:
-
Experience in Singapore, France, Vietnam, or EU grant systems
-
Familiarity with climate, scope 3, circular economy, or deeptech themes
-
You’ve written (or contributed to) successful grants, decks, or executive memos
-
You’ve worked at a startup, ecosystem org, fund, incubator, or in policy/strategy
-
Vietnamese, Mandarin or French (or other languages) fluency (helpful but not required)
-
You’ve used AI tools to accelerate content, summaries, and drafting ⭐️ what we offer
-
🪑 Top 10 team role, working directly with CEO and COO
-
🌍 Real exposure to ecosystems in Vietnam, France, Singapore, and beyond
-
✍️ Autonomy and ownership — this is not a checklist job
-
🧘 Async-friendly, low-politics, high-performance team
-
📈 Strategic growth path into Capital, BizDev, or Market Development roles
-
💸 Package starting range depending on experience → Can grow rapidly based on performance and ownership
-
🔁 Performance-based bonus tied to capital secured — typically 0.1–1% of received non-dilutive funding, at company’s discretion, with scope and payout defined per opportunity 🎯 if this sounds like you…
-
✅ Surgical Synthesiser — You can digest complex docs and highlight the 10% that matters
-
✅ Opportunity-Minded — You think in ROI, not noise; you want to win smart, not apply more
-
✅ Quietly Sharp — You ask questions that reveal what others missed — clearly, calmly
-
✅ Cross-Cultural — You’re comfortable thinking across regions, timelines, and languages
-
✅ Writer–Thinker — You can write like a strategist, and structure like a designer
-
✅ Builder Energy — You want to make things better, not just fill in forms 🚫 not the job for you if...
-
❌ You only feel motivated by a cause, not a strategic goal
-
❌ You think more activity = more value (even if nothing lands)
-
❌ You’re afraid of ambiguity or evolving requirements
-
❌ You treat applications as homework, not tactical assets
-
❌ You need a manager to tell you exactly what to do next 🏸 the ball is in your court now! Send your portfolio (and a hello) at the form below. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible. We move fast. 🏎️ 👀 not exactly this role? These are the roles we know we need — but let’s be real, there’s always more going on than what fits in a bullet list.
