DISTRICT SALES MANAGER

Summary/Objective:

You will assume the responsibility of developing and empowering our Outside Sales Associates, nurturing their skills and capabilities, all while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering meaningful connections within the community. Your role will be instrumental in building and sustaining the sales and growth trajectory of the assigned region.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicates the policies and procedures of the sales department to all in his/her charge.

  • Makes or approves decisions for personnelregardingcomplex issues, employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations, in conjunction with the Vice President, Human Resources.

  • Guides and instructs personnel in the more complex phases of their work.

  • Overseesthe preparation and administration of the annual budget.

  • Participates in the corporate long-term and short-term planning process,assistingwith developing newobjectives, policies, and programs for sales and marketing activities.

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates with Regional Vice President and Branch Managers, the efforts of sales personnel toward the accomplishment ofobjectiveswithin his/her region.

  • Effectively manages a positive relationship with key supplier management and direct serviceskeyaccounts.

  • Ensuresmaximum sales volume at minimum cost. Maintains and constantly improves the company’s competitive position.

  • Attend trade association meetings/events to promote our company as required.

  • Inspires, motivates, and coaches salesteamto perform at their highest potential.

  • Effectively communicates sales functions with all other company departments including credit, pricing, purchasing, marketing, etc.

  • Enforces a two-way communication style between outside sales and product managers to ensure implementation and execution of commonly identified goals occurs.

  • Monitorsexpense reports andforecaststhe sales and gross profits.

  • Representsthe company to the community, the public in general, and various local, regional, state, and national organizations.

  • Collaborates andmaintainsa focused team consisting of outside sales, inside sales/customer service, and operations at all locations within the region.

  • Performs other duties as obvious or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proventrack recordof achieving results

  • Desire to work under pressure

  • High degree of Self-Awareness, self-control, Interpersonal Understanding, Flexibility, PersonalInfluenceand vision

  • Bachelorsdegreepreferred

  • Frequently travel to all branches in assigned district

  • Experience leading sales teams towards long-term strategic goals

  • Minimum 5years experiencein sales
