Respiratory Care Tutor (PT)
Location: Utica, NY
Job Type: Part-Time, 10-Month

The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking aRespiratory Care Lab Tutor in our Learning Commons to provide academic and hands-on learning support to students enrolled in the Respiratory Care program. They will work under the direction of Respiratory Care faculty, the tutor assists students in developing and strengthening their knowledge, technical skills, and confidence in respiratory care concepts and laboratory procedures. The tutor provides individualized and small-group assistance with course content, laboratory skills, equipment use, and preparation for practical examinations.
Key responsibilities for this position include:

Provide individual and small-group tutoring to students enrolled in Respiratory Care courses.

Assist students in understanding and applying respiratory care concepts, terminology, and procedures.

Reinforce laboratory skills and techniques.

Help students develop proficiency with equipment commonly used in the Respiratory Care laboratory.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of respiratory care principles and clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students at varying levels of preparation.
Work Schedule:The work schedule for this position will be based on the needs of the department and the availability of the applicant.
Hours per week:20 - 29
Qualifications:

Associate degree in Respiratory Care
-
Demonstrated competence in respiratory care concepts and laboratory skills
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students
-
Ability to work effectively with students individually and in small groups
-
Commitment to student success and a supportive learning environment
