Full job description

Your future role at a glance

  • Location: Pensacola, FL

  • Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Outpatient Imaging

  • Department: Diagnostic Imaging

  • Schedule: Day Shift | PRN Weekend Only

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat of pathologies.

  • Prepare and position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to producecross-sectional images of the body.

  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.

  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.

  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

  • 9:00 am - 4 pm Saturday l 12:00 pm - 5 pm Sunday | Must travel to all locations - Perdido, Summit, Tiger Point, Milestone
