Job Overview

Clarke University is seeking applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach Organic Chemistry II with lab (7 contact hours/week) for upper-level science students beginning January 2027. Organic Chemistry II and lab are the second half of the two-semester sequence. These courses are offered by the chemistry program and serve as a required course for the biology and chemistry majors.

The position requires a master’s degree or a doctorate in chemistry or a related science area. Candidates who are ABD will be considered. The preferred delivery of the course is in-person on the Clarke University campus in Dubuque, IA, but applications for instructors who can teach hybrid or online will also be considered.
