What We Offer

The Integration Architect is responsible for defining and advancing enterprise architecture strategies that enable seamless healthcare interoperability across systems, applications, and partners. This role serves as a technical leader in the design and governance of integration solutions leveraging HL7, FHIR, APIs, and modern integration platforms.

As a key cross-functional partner, the Integration Architect collaborates with clinical, business, and engineering teams to translate complex interoperability requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing integration architectures that support organizational and patient care goals.

What You'll Do

  • Define and maintain enterprise-wide integration architecture for healthcare interoperability, including HL7, FHIR, APIs, and integration engines

  • Establish and enforce technical governance, standards, and best practices for data exchange and system integration

  • Provide strategic guidance to engineering teams on integration design patterns, tool selection, and implementation approaches

  • Partner with clinical, application, and business stakeholders to analyze interoperability requirements and align solutions with organizational priorities

  • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-availability integration solutions across on-premises and cloud environments

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to advance interoperability capabilities and innovation

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex integration challenges

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards, regulations, and security requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Education : 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Computer Science or Computer Information.

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Computer Science or Computer Information.

  • Experience : 6 years of experience in integration architecture or integration developer role, required.

  • Licensure/Certification: Epic Bridges, required.

  • HealthShare Health Connect Specialist and/or IRIS Professional, preferred.

  • Additional Skills (required): Proficient knowledge of Epic Bridges and InterSystems HealthConnect Cloud

  • Lead design, documentation, and validation of HL7 based integration solutions

  • Build and customize HL7 interfaces and FHIR API integrations for bidirectional traffic flow

  • Proficient ability to map data between diverse formats, including HL7, FHIR, JSon, X12

  • Intermediate diagramming skills of processes and data flow diagrams

  • Intermediate knowledge of technologies (past, current, emerging) that support business capabilities within the Integration landscape

  • Intermediate knowledge of information technology design principles and practices

  • Ability to develop requirements definition and evaluation

  • Basic writing, speaking, and presenting skills

  • Intermediate problem-solving skills

  • Intermediate communication skills, with emphasis on translating business requirements into technical specifications

  • Ability to positively influence others

  • Ability to facilitate collaboration and negotiation

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Additional Skills (preferred): Intermediate knowledge of CICD pipeline architecture

  • Ability to work with vendors and internal customers to craft, document, and verify solutions that meet data requirements

  • Ability to diagram and communicate data flows and workflows

  • Intermediate knowledge of Agile methodologies

  • Intermediate knowledge of DevOps methodologies

  • Intermediate knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools for data presentation and visualization
