Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour
Program Description:
City Beet Kitchens is a mission-based non-profit catering company. We were established in 1995 as "Comfort Foods" and rebranded in 2015 to "City Beet Kitchens." We cater to large clients in the non-profit space (institutional division) as well as corporate and private events (events division), providing meals, snacks, boxed lunches and specific curated events (e.g, galas, weddings, etc.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the Transportation Coordinator include but are not limited to the following activities:

Coordinate schedules for drivers for CBK institutional routes.

Resolve any issues encountered during deliveries, such as delays or customer complaints.

Ensure weekly supplies are delivered to all contracted sites.

Maintain clear and effective communication with dispatch/manager, kitchen staff, and customers.

Provide timely updates on delivery status and address any questions or concerns.

Contact drivers with any scheduling updates.
-
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
-
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback to ensure a positive experience.

Verify food orders before delivery to ensure they match customer requests.
-
Address any discrepancies promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.

Follow food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure food is delivered in a safe and hygienic manner.

Operate a delivery van safely, following all traffic laws and regulations.

Navigate routes effectively within the New York area, ensuring timely and safe travel.

Deliver food orders to customers within specified timeframes.
-
Optimize delivery routes to account for traffic conditions and ensure efficiency.

Safely load and unload food orders from the delivery vehicle.
-
Ensure proper food handling and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
-
A minimum of 3 years’ professional driving and logistical coordinating experience.
-
A minimum of one year of experience working directly with psychiatrically disabled or addicted individuals.
-
Experience providing recreation for this population extremely important.
-
Knowledge of case management databases and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
