Job Title: Gen Trades Tech 1 - PlumberAgency: Department of Defense Job Requisition ID: JR0000004816Shift: Day (United States of America)Compensation Details: $52,000 - $56,000 Job Description: This position is located at the Georgia Air National Guard's 165th AW Civil Engineering Squadron in Garden City, Georgia.

Duties & Responsibilities: The selected candidate will perform journeyman level plumbing repairs and installations. The selected candidate will also repair, replace and install plumbing fixtures, drainage systems, hot water heaters, boilers and associated hardware according to applicable codes and regulations. May also perform work in other maintenance specialties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those applicants who not only meet the minimum requirements, but also have:

  1. Backflow Prevention Certification (must acquire within 1 year of hire)
  2. Experience using National Plumbing Codes and locating underground utilities.
  3. Experience in the maintenance and repair of Lift Stations and Oil-Water Separators.
  4. Experience with commercial dishwashers, garbage disposals and water heaters.
  5. Two years experience in commercial or residential plumbing which includes installation, repair and maintenance of a variety of fixtures, (bathroom, kitchen/utility and specialty and commercial), variety of pipes (PVC,CPVC,Copper,Black Iron and Galvanized), soldering and brazing, and other related plumbing components.
