Full job description

RiverTech is looking for an Intermediate Project Manager to work in Camp Springs, MD. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

The ideal candidate provides Project Management support to the Office of Facilities and Infrastructure (OFI) for Logistics Management Division (LMD) by performing research and analysis in the development of program or project activities for one or more programs supporting LMD stakeholders and OFI leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop standard and ad hoc project management reports. Examples of software for development of reports include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Coordinate task activities with contract staff in various branches to identify duplicative process/tasks for the division, recommend the feasibility of consolidating, review for leaning, and submit recommendation to LMD Special Assistant.

  • Review requirements document for accuracy and completeness.

  • Analyze, describe, document and diagram business models processes associated with the implementation of various programs; lead discussions at the division level on analysis of options to gain efficiency and improve current branch processes.

  • Business process modeling & reengineering support.

  • Project scheduling support.

  • Integrated Project Team facilitation, organizational assessments, and cost/benefit analyses.

  • Prepare and present white papers and progress reports; assist management with analysis of costs, schedules, and performance of the work.

  • Prepare budgetary projection development process.

  • Prepare project documents and status reports.

  • Support project management phases such as planning, execution and result monitoring.

  • Coordinate project activity and facilitate staff and IPT meetings.

  • Assist the Government in recommending new or changes to existing procedures and outreach materials and training.

Qualifications

  • Ability to track progress on projects and provide ongoing reports to leadership/program sponsors.

  • Able to create and develop project management plans such project charters, project management plan, etc. using project management software (Project, Visio, Microsoft Excel, etc.).

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing project lifecycles, leading teams, and meeting project deadlines under general supervision.

  • Ability to define project scope, create realistic timetables, manage resource allocation, and track workflows from ideation to closure.

  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.

  • BA and 2-5 years of project management experience.

  • Ability to obtain suitability clearance.
