Full job description
About Revel Revel is building the next-generation software platform for controlling and interacting with mission-critical hardware across industries like aerospace, energy, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. Our tools replace outdated, complex systems with intuitive, high-performance interfaces that help engineers move faster and operate with precision. We are a fast-growing startup with a strong engineering culture and a focus on solving deeply technical problems with clean, thoughtful design.
Role Overview We are hiring a Graphic Designer focused on merchandise and swag to join our marketing team. This is a mid-senior level role (6+ years of experience) with high ownership over how Revel shows up in the physical world: the apparel and swag that investors, clients, partners, and teammates actually wear, use, and keep. This person will drive our merch program end-to-end, from concept through production and fulfillment. You will design products people genuinely want, working within Revel's brand standards, and build a program that extends the brand across conferences, events, customer touchpoints, and team culture. What You'll Do
-
Own Revel’s merchandise and swag program, developing new product concepts, collections, and drops that customers, prospects, partners, and teammates want to wear and use.
-
Concept and design apparel, swag, and physical goods (hats, tees, hoodies, stickers, patches, drinkware, desk items, event merch, limited-run pieces) from sketch to finished product.
-
Manage production end-to-end: source and vet vendors, prepare print-ready files and tech packs, review samples and proofs, and manage quality, timelines, and budgets.
-
Lead print and physical design projects for events, including conference materials, signage, booth elements, and packaging.
-
Design kits and gifting programs for customers, partners, recruits, new hires, and investors such as onboarding boxes and event swag bags.
-
Apply Revel's brand identity thoughtfully across physical products, and flag where the brand needs to stretch or evolve for new formats.
-
Create supporting visual assets for merch launches, including product mockups, photography direction, web store and Webflow assets, and social content.
-
Contribute to video treatments and light motion work that showcase products and drops.
-
Partner closely with the brand and product design team to keep merchandise consistent with product and marketing surfaces.
-
Track performance to inform what we make next.
Requirements
-
6+ years of experience in graphic or visual design, with a meaningful share of that work in merchandise, apparel, or physical product design.
-
Experience working with or supporting technical, engineering-driven teams, and a feel for what that audience considers good swag.
-
Experience with 3D design, product rendering, or motion graphics for product visualization.
-
Strong portfolio demonstrating:
-
Original merchandise and product concepts that have shipped
-
The ability to translate a brand into physical goods with taste and restraint
-
Strong typography, illustration, and layout skills
-
High attention to detail, including print specs, color accuracy, and brand consistency
-
Experience across both digital and print mediums
-
Proficiency with:
-
Figma
-
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
-
Google Slides and/or PowerPoint
-
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment, balancing creative ambition with budgets and deadlines.
Nice to have
-
Basic video editing and product photography experience.
-
Experience running a merch store or fulfillment operation (Shopify, print-on-demand, or in-house).
-
Experience managing production with vendors, including printers, embroiderers, and manufacturers, and a working knowledge of production methods (screen print, embroidery, DTG, enamel pins, woven labels, and so on).
-
Background in hard tech industries (aerospace, defense, robotics, etc.) or a genuine love of engineering culture.
Why Revel
-
High ownership over a merch program that touches customers, candidates, and the whole team.
-
Exposure to a wide variety of projects and mediums, including apparel, physical goods, print, events, and motion.
-
See your designs out in the world, on engineers at conferences, customer offsites, and events.
-
Opportunity to shape the physical expression of a technical brand as the company grows.
-
Work closely with a strong, product-focused design team.
-
Competitive salary, substantial equity, and significant personal growth opportunities.
-
A collaborative, ambitious, and technically challenging environment.
Join us to redefine what's possible in software for hardware.
