Chaplains provide spiritual care to patients, families and caregivers, fostering spiritual resources for healing. Spiritual care is a component of healing, so meeting others where they are and helping them during troubled waters is a vital part of a Chaplain's role.
This is an on-call PRN role. A caregiver in this position will work as needed from 4:00pm to 8:00am on weekdays and full 24-hours on weekends.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provide education and consultation for physicians, nurses, and other caregivers.

Provide spiritual care and counseling for patients, families and caregivers of all faith groups, ages and conditions.

Foster spiritual resources for healing.

Provide crisis and ongoing care.

Work regular and on-call hours.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Satisfactory completion of a minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education

OR Bachelor's degree, 3 years of ministry experience & satisfactory completion of unit of Clinical Pastoral Education

One year of ministry experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Master's degree of Divinity or equivalent

Board Certification or ACPE Certification
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
-
Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push and facilitate movement of the patient.

Must have normal or correctable vision and hearing to be able to hear normal conversations.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $24.50
Maximum hourly: $24.50
