DESCRIPTION:

The Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) provides prevention, counseling, intervention, and support services to students in grades 10-12 experiencing or at risk for substance use concerns. Responsibilities include individual and small-group counseling, screening and assessment, student and family support, prevention education, referrals to community-based services, and collaboration with school staff and outside providers. The CASAC maintains appropriate documentation and confidentiality and participates in student support teams and related school initiatives.

SALARY:

Per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract.

QUALIFICATIONS:

New York State CASAC credential is required. Additionally, NYSED certification as a School Social Worker, School Counselor or School Psychologist is preferred, as well as past experience working with adolescents in a school setting.
