General Summary:
Assist QA/QC Technicians and Project Managers with assigned jobs by planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the preparations and executions of quality control inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality Control Support
-
Assist Quality Control Technicians with inspections, testing activities, and other quality-related tasks in the field.

Help document installation progress and verify work is completed according to project requirements and specifications.

Maintain quality records including inspection reports, testing results, checklists, daily logs, and photographs.

Track inspection status and follow up on outstanding items to help keep projects moving forward.

Assist with maintaining punch lists and documenting corrective actions.
-
Participate in field walks and quality reviews, recording observations and supporting follow-up activities.

Coordinate inspection schedules with field personnel, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors as needed.

Verify that current drawings, specifications, and approved submittals are available for field use.

Assist with material receiving documentation and quality verification records.
-
Support startup, testing, commissioning, and project turnover documentation.

Help assemble closeout packages, including test reports, warranties, O&M manuals, commissioning records, and as-built documentation.
Project Documentation & Administration
-
Organize and maintain project files related to quality control activities.
-
Enter inspection data, testing results, and field observations into company software systems.
-
Assist with preparing project reports, meeting minutes, and quality status updates.
-
Track subcontractor documentation, certifications, and required quality records.
-
Help ensure project documents are current, accurate, and distributed appropriately.

Review completed forms and documentation for completeness before submission.
-
Work closely with field supervisors, project managers, and Quality Control Technicians to gather information needed for reporting and recordkeeping.
Field Coordination
-
Perform routine site visits to observe construction progress and support quality documentation efforts.
-
Assist in identifying and documenting workmanship or compliance concerns.
-
Help coordinate testing and inspection activities with field crews and subcontractors.
-
Maintain clear communication with project team members regarding quality documentation and project requirements.
Description of Physical Working Environment:
-
Split time between office and construction site environments.
-
Regular use of computers and other office equipment.
-
Frequent walking of active construction sites, including climbing stairs or ladders when required.

Occasional lifting, bending, and carrying of project-related materials or equipment.
-
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when visiting job sites.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
-
Associate degree, technical training, construction management coursework, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent related experience.
-
One to three years of construction, quality control, project coordination, or related experience preferred.
-
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn project management and documentation software.
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience reading construction drawings and specifications is helpful but not required.
