About the Role:

The Floor Care Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and executing high-quality floor maintenance and cleaning operations across various commercial and industrial facilities. This role ensures that all flooring surfaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance, contributing to a positive environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The Crew Leader will manage a team of floor care technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective completion of daily tasks. Additionally, the role involves coordinating schedules, managing supplies and equipment, and adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Ultimately, the Floor Care Crew Leader plays a critical role in maintaining facility standards and enhancing the overall customer experience through exceptional floor care services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in floor care and maintenance, including knowledge of various flooring types and cleaning techniques.

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a cleaning or maintenance team.

  • Ability to operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums safely and efficiently.

  • Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in floor care or janitorial services.

  • Experience working in commercial or industrial facility maintenance.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and supply ordering.

  • Familiarity with green cleaning products and environmentally friendly floor care practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of floor care technicians to ensure timely and thorough cleaning and maintenance of all floor surfaces.

  • Develop and implement daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet operational goals.

  • Train new and existing crew members on proper floor care techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.

  • Inspect floors regularly to assess condition and determine appropriate cleaning methods and products.

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during floor care operations.

  • Communicate effectively with facility management and clients to address concerns and provide updates on floor care activities.

  • Document work performed and report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
