Full job description

Our client, Systems & Test Engineering is seeking a Application Engineer to join their team. As a Application Engineer, you will be part of the Systems Support organization supporting customer-facing postdelivery support for complex, custom test systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise across hardware and software, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and engineering teams, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $58.44

What's the Job?

  • Support site acceptance testing, commissioning, training, and startup activities for complex, custom test systems.

  • Act as the voice of the customer by communicating technical needs, issues, and insights to product and business teams to drive continuous improvement.

  • Provide first-line technical support, coaching, and training to customer personnel, helping teams operate systems effectively.

  • Own issues through resolution by troubleshooting, reproducing problems, documenting findings, and coordinating cross-functional support.

  • Support on-site service, repair, and installation of company systems and products, and participate in customer installation and training programs as needed.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including customer-facing roles.

  • DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.

  • Strong understanding of test engineering, electronics, and computer architectures, including experience with NI platforms (LabVIEW, PXI) and automated test software.

  • Ability to lift/pull up to 40 lbs. of test equipment and willingness to work in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
