Full job description

We are looking for a Product Operations lead to automate the back office of healthcare providers. Outpatient practices (ABA, speech, OT, PT and other therapy groups) lose hours every day to administrative work: checking eligibility, verifying benefits, chasing prior authorizations, faxing payers, and fixing intake data before a patient can start care. Solum builds AI employees that do this work inside the EHRs, payer portals and inboxes our customers already use. Your job is to find where that back office work breaks and turn it into automation. You will sit between our customers' front desk and billing teams, our operations team and our engineers. You will map how each provider actually works, decide what the AI should handle and where a person needs to step in, and make sure every workflow we automate is faster and more accurate than doing it by hand. What you'll automate

  • Eligibility and benefits verification before every visit
  • Prior authorization requests, follow ups and renewals
  • Patient intake and insurance data clean up
  • Payer calls, portal checks and fax handling
  • Handoffs and status updates back to the provider's team

This is a full-time remote role for someone who is analytical, execution oriented, and happiest when a messy manual process becomes a reliable automated one. Responsibilities

  • Map each provider's back office workflow (front desk, intake, billing) and find what can be automated first
  • Define, track and report automation KPIs: turnaround time, accuracy, share of work automated, and hours saved for providers
  • Identify bottlenecks and design scalable processes to improve speed, quality, and customer outcomes
  • Turn manual back office tasks into automation requirements, MVPs, internal tools and AI workflows
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to prioritize improvements based on customer and operations feedback
  • Support project execution from planning through delivery
  • Gather and analyze data to generate actionable insights
  • Improve communication and handoffs across sales, operations, product, and customer success
  • Build lightweight tools, workflows, and dashboards to support internal execution
  • Help create repeatable playbooks as Solum scales

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • Experience in operations, product operations, sales operations, implementation, or customer success operations
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and track initiatives
  • Experience leading operations teams or owning operational KPIs
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities remotely
  • Experience building MVPs, internal tools, or translating operational problems into product solutions
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, plugins, MCPs, skills, or similar automation tools
  • Experience developing products, automations, or internal projects that have been used in production
  • Background in healthcare back office work (therapy practices, RCM, medical billing, intake, insurance verification or prior authorization) is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred

Ideal Candidate You are a builder. You do not just manage processes; you improve them. You enjoy working close to customers and operators, understanding the messy reality of workflows, and turning that into scalable systems, tools, and products. You are excited about using AI to take administrative work off providers so their teams can focus on patients. You embrace challenges and thrive in high-intensity environments. Please do not apply if you are looking for strict work-life balance or expect a typical 9-to-5 schedule. We work very hard, but the experience is highly rewarding and fulfilling.
