Your Opportunity
Our New York City, NY office is in search of a Commissioning Engineer Intern. You will support different senior commissioning leaders in their project delivery. This is a great opportunity for a young engineer looking to develop their career in the field of commissioning, retro-commissioning, design, and energy consulting. Responsibilities entail the support of multiple commissioning projects, retro-commissioning projects, solutions design, and energy audits for a wide variety of clients and facility types.
Your Capabilities and Credentials

Knowledge of HVAC systems and building equipment/systems
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong background with Microsoft® Office Suite
-
Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD; Prefer experience (not required) with Trane Trace, eQuest or IES
-
Knowledge of building energy and sustainability.

Ability to travel regionally on occasion

Ability to drive, travel, and work normal business hours in the office (Mon-Fri)
Education and Experience
-
Registered EIT or in the process of obtaining the EIT

0-2 years of experience in a technical consulting field such as facility design, engineering, construction management or related area

Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and in the process of graduating within 12-16 months

Pay Range:
- $23.47 - $34.50 Hourly
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
