Full job description

This is a full-time role as a Senior SRE with a focus on Kubernetes, infra, security & platforms, located onsite in New York, NY. About you

  • You’re hard working, ambitious and you prefer to “lead from the front”. As a leader on the team, folks will be looking to you as an example of success and you value being a role model and force multiplier for others on the team.
  • You’re looking for a fast growing startup. Here’s our revenue growth and head count growth.
  • You’re looking for teammates, not coworkers - folks you’ll be able to count on to in a pinch and make your team’s goals possible. Here’s a bonus picture of our CTO’s son closing his first sale.

About the role You will work directly with the founding team to turn infrastructure and security projects into new and significant revenue. Incumbents in our space are bloated, on outdated infrastructure and getting hacked. This presents an exciting opportunity for Hadrius to make a clean and fast break into mega-large firms like JP Morgan with security as a key differentiator. We pride ourselves on our “hands off culture” by having very few meetings and giving engineers and creators a broad scope of responsibility and autonomy. You’ll be working in-person 5 days/week in our lower-manhattan NYC office, building side-by-side with the rest of the team. Our tech stack is django/python, react/next/typescript, running on Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform on AWS. Responsibilities First week:

  • Day 1: push your first PR to production
  • Understand the core problems Hadrius solves, our ICP, our value proposition, the Hadrius platform, pricing structure, and roadmap
  • Learn the Hadrius way: how we work and build for high growth
  • Get up to speed on our EKS infrastructure, security stack and CI/CD processes.

First month:

  • Implement a big feature that directly leads to new revenue for the business
  • You’re already standing out on the team and “leading from the front”.
  • Unlock GDPR and ISO 27001 compliance

First 3 months & beyond:

  • Becoming the defacto owner of all Hadrius infrastructure and deployments.
  • PMs, CSMs, Sales and Founders all know "you” are the go-to person for your work
  • Training and hiring new team members as you scale your impact across the team

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of related professional experience
  • Organized and clear communicator with a penchant for solving problems
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with the following technologies: • Terraform (or related IaC)
  • AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) and deploying production grade applications at scale
  • Queuing Systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc)
  • CI/CD (Github Actions, Jenkins or related)
  • Database Management like Postgres/MySQL (RBAC, fine-tuning, etc)

Nice to haves

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working in a mature Django/Python codebase in production
  • Postgres Internals
  • Kuberenetes based telemetry
  • Kuberentes Deployments (Argocd, helm, mutli-region, etc)
  • SOC 2 and related frameworks

Benefits

  • 401k (100% match up to 6%)
  • Healthcare, dental, vision, etc.
